Abhindran is extremely close to his elder brother Mahendran. Due to a problem in his hometown, he is forced to flee to a remote island with only a ferry (jangar) service. His life takes an unexpected turn when Nakshatra, a young woman, arrives on the island, and he finds himself compelled to marry her. The story Jangar unfolds as Abhindran navigates the challenges of his new circumstances, striving to escape the island and protect Nakshatra.
